Florida’s Suncoast, as implied by its name, brings with it gentle breezes all throughout the rest of the year. Other outdoor activities that residents can enjoy include strolling or jogging along the sidewalks lined with huge trees, golfing on lush green landscapes, boating and skiing in one of the waterfront communities, going on an adventure through the nature trail, heading off to a shopping spree, and dining or eating out with friends. Popular destinations like the MOSI - Museum of Science and Industry, with its own IMAX theatre that never fails to fascinate all kinds of audiences, both adults and the children. The community’s love for nature is also reflected through the Florida Aquarium which shows nature under the waters, while Lowry Park Zoo, although small, is one of the country’s most visited places. Other museums include several art and photography and traveling exhibits. For local happenings that foster a strong community bond, there are also famous local events such as the Strawberry Festival, Guavaween, Florida State Fair and the anticipated Gasparilla Festival and Parade. |
