Westchase is a unincorporated community located in Hillsborough County, Florida with a population of more 12,000 people. Westchase neighborhood is located between Tampa and Clearwater; and it is bordered in the west by Oldsmar, the north by Keystone, the south by Town ‘n’ Country, and the east by Citrus Park. And if you are tired of playing golf, you could drop by Tampa Bay Downs Horse Racetrack, also located in Westchase, to place some bets on horse racing events. This picture is seemingly the perfect retirement picture for many people who have toiled long and hard for many years. Westchase is the hometown of a mixture of different races. Many of the average household consists of families with children living with their parents. You’d find two town centers in Westchase. The area is characteristically vibrant with people walking to quaint shops and village greens daily. You’d also enjoy planned family activities for the community like Summer Concern Series. It is fairly common to have village restaurants offering nightly specials in Westchase. The Many Westchase Neighborhoods There are basically 28 neighborhoods in Westchase which include Abbotsford, Arlington Park, Bennington, Berkeley Square, Brentford, Bridges, Castleford, Chelmsford, Classic Townhomes of West Park Village, Enclave, Glencliff, Glenfield, Greens, Harbor Links/Estates, Keswick Forest, Kingsford, Radcliffe, Saville Rowe, Shires, West Park Village-Single Family Homes, Stamford, Townhomes of West Park Village, Traditional Townhomes of West Park Village, Tree Tops, Village Green, Villas of West Park Village, Vineyards, Woodbay, Worthington and Wycliff. Some of these neighborhoods or Westchase villages have sub-communities. Most of them have websites that you can visit if you would like to check out the area to see where you would feel comfortable relocating. These are, however, small villages where you people and families know almost everyone. People are encouraged to join committees and regular community meetings are held by the neighborhood. If you’re looking for a place where you’d feel right at home and where everyone cares about you, then Westchase is perfect for you. Buying a Home in Westchase Westchase is actually just a 15-minute drive from the Tampa airport; and it is considered one of the most affluent areas of Tampa. There are, however, various types of homes that you can choose from if you are considering relocating or moving to Tampa. You’d find condos, town homes, villas, apartments and houses. Since this spring, home buyers in this Tampa area have considerably grown in number and the trend has been consistent despite the precarious situation of the US real estate market. Houses being sold could stay in the market for an average of 90 days. Greatest activity in the real estate market in the area is considerably significant in single family homes where the average selling price is $400,000. Admittedly, the price has increased to at least 20% since last year. Of course, there is more demand than people wanting to sell. Depending, however, on your budget, you’d find town homes, villas, apartments, condos and houses in Westchase. |
